5- Ingredient Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Dicing up the roast is COMPLETELY optional. It's more of a beef tips recipe when you do. But we were feeding little ones with this recipe and it was much easier to get them to eat it by dicing it into bite sized pieces first :)

  • 2 to 2 1/2 pound boneless beef chuck roast
  • 1 envelope Ranch seasoning ~or~ here's a homemade version
  • 1 envelope Italian seasoning ~or~ here's a homemade version
  • 1 envelope beef gravy mix ~or~ here's a homemade version
  • 1 cup beef stock


  • Dice the roast into 2 to 3 inch chunks and toss them in an oiled crockpot
  • Mix the gravy mixes with the beef broth and pour over the top of the roast
  • Cover and cook on low for 6 to 7 hours on low ~or~ for 3 1/2 to 4 hours on high
  • Stir and serve over potatoes, pasta or rice

Freezer Meal Directions:

  • Toss everything in a large freezer bag
  • Label and freeze for up to 3 months
  • Thaw overnight before cooking OR cook an extra 1 to 2 hours
