Easy Crockpot Pulled Pork

You can start with pre-cooked shredded pork ~or~ you can make this from <g class="gr_ gr_127 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_disable_anim_appear Grammar only-ins doubleReplace replaceWithoutSep" id="127" data-gr-id="127">raw</g> roast stage. Either is super easy and takes just a couple minutes. Recipes for both are both.

Ingredients

Starting With Pre-Cooked Meats:

  • 3 cups of pulled pork tenderloin
  • 1 1/2 cups Jack Daniels Barbecue Sauce
  • 2 teaspoons Louisiana Hot Sauce optional

Starting With Raw Chunk of Meat:

  • 2 1/2 to 4- pound pork roast or loin
  • 1 packet onion soup mix
  • 1/4 cup steak sauce
  • 2 teaspoons liquid smoke optional
  • 1 large bottle barbecue sauce of your choice
  • 1 tablespoon Louisiana Hot Sauce optional

Instructions

Starting With Pre-Cooked Meats:

  • Oil or spray the crock pot insert
  • Combine all ingredients and cover and cook 3 to 5 hours on low, 1 1/2 to 2 on high.

Starting With Raw Chunk of Meat:

  • Spray or oil the crockpot insert
  • Lay the roast in the bottom
  • Top with the steak sauce and liquid smoke, sprinkle with soup mix
  • Cover and cook it 5 to 8 hours on low; 3 to 5 on high
  • Move the meat to a platter and allow it to cool for 5 to 15 minutes
  • Dump the accumulated grease out of the crockpot insert
  • Use two forks to pull the meat apart and return it to the slow cooker
  • Add the barbecue sauce and hot sauce. Stir well and cover.

Keep on warm ’til you’re ready to eat ~or~ freeze it in portion size baggies or canisters for up to a month (3 months easy if you use a vacuum sealer).
